Professional Services

To augment the Customers Managed Services, CNS offer their very flexible Professional Services Module. The Professional Services module is CNS’s Consultancy offering and is used against non Fault/Incident activity that is covered under the terms of the Fault Analysis contract.

Professional Services offer the customer access to a wide range of technical skills that can be employed to service the many day to day and strategic needs of a business. CNS’s Professional Services offering is engaged by raising a pool of consultancy resource time up front. Resource time is then decremented as and when time is used to assist the customer in non fault/incident related activities. This service is designed to assist IT managers with engineering resource, logistics, analysis tools, expertise and technical advice to ensure the highest levels of performance and availability.

In general, CNS’s Professional Services module is aimed at supporting the customer in the provision of small to medium sized items of work and is not intended to support the need for large project engagement. In this way, the customer can raise an amount of time in advance and simply call of time as required without the need to raise a continual number of work orders. This can help dramatically reduce the administrative overhead of the customers purchasing/accounts department.

Professional services can be used for the following:

  • Execution of simple adds moves and changes
  • Reconfiguration of new or existing network equipment
  • Software upgrades or Device Patches/Updates
  • Testing and evaluation of network equipment
  • Small/Medium Project work (such as the design, implementation and
  • deployment of a new architecture)
  • Provision of network ‘know-how’ and tools to deal with a specific disruptive issues on the network
  • Network requirement analysis, e.g. feasibility studies and network reviews
  • Impact analysis (e.g. of new applications or business expansion and change)
  • Network management advice, installation and configuration
  • Documentation over and above that normally provided on completion of ad-hoc project.
